The latest acquisition to the Spectrum Group purchased in June 2021 Pond Road Dairies is located near to Matamata in the heart of the Waikato. The predominantly flat farm is in the process of being upgraded to meet the Spectrum standard for facilities and productivity.
The dairy herd was purchased with the property and is the only jersey herd within the group. The Farms' capital upgrade programme is planned for completion by June 2025 when expected production targets will be achieved.
The farm has a long history with a range of modern and old farm buildings requiring attention. All four homes are in the process of undergoing upgrades to meet Healthy Homes standards.
Upgrades to the farm infrastructure is required such as new stock water system, lanes, effluent upgrade and fencing which is well underway with more planned to work around the day-to-day operations.
Once the upgrades are complete our aim for the 175ha property is to milk 580 cows.

A 44AS HB dairy with ACR’s and Auto teat spray system.
Underpass to link the farm installed in 2022.
Upgraded water system to half of the farm completed in 2022.
